Panel Discussion on Women's Financial Empowerment

6.00-6.30 PM — Prosecco Reception

6.30-7.45 PM — Panel Discussion

Women in Ireland express lower satisfaction across every single dimension of their financial well-being, most notably when it comes to investment and pension planning. The investment gender imbalance reflects a combination of women de-prioritising their own needs to focus on family, work and education. This investment gap is further compounded as many financial firms rely on broad assumptions about women’s needs resulting in products and messaging that are misaligned with what is important to women. At this TWG event, we will learn from leading academics and experts about this phenomenon and discuss what we can do to motivate new generations of women to better bridge the gender wealth gap. Picking up on TWG President’s Joanne Kenney’s 2023 theme, “Power and Purpose”, we hope the event will empower and inspire attendees to transform their financial futures. There is €10 fee for all attendees with proceeds going towards Trinity Access Programme.
