President
Julia Carmichael
Julia is Head of Compliance and Head of Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorist Financing Compliance at Northern Trust Fund Services Ireland Limited. She previously served as Trinity College Dublin’s first Chief Risk Officer, and has held senior executive roles across banking, insurance and wealth management. She also lends her expertise as a non-executive director to public bodies.
A Trinity graduate in Economics and German, Julia holds an MSc in Compliance and Regulation from University College Dublin. Her postgraduate qualifications span financial services law, company direction, strategy, innovation, change management and advanced management. She is also a certified Financial Crime Professional and Data Protection Officer and has lectured for professional bodies.
Julia has served Honorary Treasurer for six years.

Geraldine Mahony
Geraldine is the founder of an event management and marketing agency and serves on the Board of Sail Training Ireland.
A Trinity MBA graduate, she has more than 25 years of experience working with global companies and brands, governments, sporting bodies and charities in Ireland and internationally. Her work includes events connected with Ireland’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
Through Sail Training Ireland, she supports young people in developing confidence and practical life skills aboard traditional tall ships. She is also a painter and is involved in the restoration of the Howth Éire 6 sign.
Secretary
Rebeca Alonso
Rebeca lends her expertise to national and international boards, including in her role as Vice-President of Marketing at Graduate Women International.
A Trinity graduate in Psychology with an MSc in Work and Organisational Psychology, she is a trainer and organisational development professional with extensive management experience across disability services, social care and community development in the private and not-for-profit sectors.
Her professional expertise include governance, organisational development, learning and development, management, neurodiversity, disability inclusion, and community participation.

Angie Mazzetti
Angie is a podcaster and communications trainer who produces the Women in Leadership podcast.
A Trinity graduate in Economics and Politics, she is a former RTÉ news presenter with extensive experience in broadcasting, journalism, documentary production, communications and media training. Through Ocarina Productions, Angie has produced films and radio programmes for broadcasters and organisations, often addressing women’s experiences, representation and participation in public life. Her work reflects a longstanding professional interest in communication, leadership and ensuring that women’s voices are heard.
Angie served as President of Trinity Women Graduates in 2019.

Marion Courtney
Marion is Coordinator of International Relations for Trinity Women Graduates and Convenor of AdvoCom, the advocacy advisory committee of Graduate Women International.
A Trinity graduate, she has academic and professional qualifications spanning modern languages, education, executive and strategic management, human resources, and training and development. Marion is a senior human resources and corporate professional with extensive experience in people leadership, organisational management and international engagement. Her work combines strategic leadership with a longstanding commitment to advancing women’s education, equality and professional participation.
Marion served as President of Trinity Women Graduates from 2014 to 2016.

Gisèle Scanlon
Gisèle is Coordinator for European Relations, strengthening the connection between Trinity Women Graduates and the University Women of Europe. She is also elected Vice-President of Advocacy at Graduate Women International and leads a policy network spanning more than 100 countries.
A graduate of University College Dublin and Trinity College Dublin, she holds three M.Phil. degrees and a Master in Public Policy from Harvard, with further legal studies at the King’s Inns. A Kerry-born community development and placemaking consultant, she is also a former President of the Irish Federation of University Women.
Gisèle has extensive experience in advocacy, local and international development, rural development and initiatives advancing women’s education, equality, sustainability and leadership.

Professor Sarah Alyn-Stacey
Sarah is Professor in Residence with Trinity Women Graduates, Head of French at Trinity College Dublin and founding Director of the Trinity Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies.
Professor Sarah Alyn-Stacey, FTCD, Académie de Savoie and Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite, joined Trinity in 1996. Her research and teaching encompass French Renaissance literature, politics, religious dissent, the early modern Court of Savoy, and Franco-Irish literary and historical connections.
Her Professor in Residence programme explores women, culture, history, politics and European connections through talks.

Dr Joanne Kenney
Joanne is the inaugural Trinity Women Graduates Ambassador for Women’s Health and Chairperson of the Trinity College Dublin Alumni Association in London.
An award-winning neuroscientist and data scientist at the University of Edinburgh’s Hub for Metabolic Psychiatry, she applies advanced machine-learning methods to psychiatric research and digital mental-health solutions. Joanne has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers and serves in editorial roles for leading scientific journals.
A co-founder of Women in Research Ireland and founder of Neuro-Aligned Yoga, she is a committed advocate for diversity, wellbeing and women in science.
Joanne served as President of Trinity Women Graduates in 2023.

Vitalia Bikmametova
Vitalia is the Immediate Past President of Trinity Women Graduates and remains involved in the organisation’s programme, communications, partnerships and development.
A Trinity graduate, she is a finance and technology professional with experience in business strategy, communications, partnership development and the delivery of initiatives that connect and support women graduates. During her presidential term, Vitalia led a varied programme of educational, professional and social events and strengthened TWG’s engagement with Trinity alumni, external partners and the wider network of graduate women’s organisations.
Vitalia served as President of Trinity Women Graduates in 2025.

Dr Sandra O’Connell
Sandra is Director of Architecture and Communications at the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI), where she works with the Architecture and Public Affairs Committee. She leads the RIAI’s communications strategy and architectural programme, encompassing awards, design reviews, competitions, conferences and publications.
An experienced architecture and communications professional, Sandra’s work focuses on promoting architectural excellence, encouraging public engagement and communicating the contribution of architecture and the built environment to society.
Sandra served as President of Trinity Women Graduates in 2021.
