TWG Summer Gathering - Provost’s House & Gardens
This year, the TWG Summer Gathering will return to the historic Provost’s House and Gardens at the invitation of Dr. Linda Doyle, Provost of Trinity College Dublin. Join us on the afternoon of Monday, 16th June for this special occasion.
We are delighted that Dr. Melanie Hayes from the Department of Art and Architecture will lead us on a guided tour of the historic stables, followed by live music and refreshments in the gardens.
The existing Provost’s Stables building was designed by Frederick Darley in 1841, and constructed between 1842-1844 as a stable and carriage building to serve the Provost’s House on the Trinity College Campus. In 2007, the stables building and courtyard were converted to accommodate a new Research Centre for Irish Art.
