The TWG Summer Celebration will return to the historic Provost’s House and Gardens at the invitation of Dr. Linda Doyle, Provost of Trinity College Dublin who will be our key note speaker in the afternoon. As you enjoy the surroundings, Dr. Melanie Hayes from the Department of Art and Architecture will lead us on a guided tour of the Provosts House and Gardens. There will also be live music and strawberries and cream amongst other refreshments to enjoy in the beautiful gardens of No. 1 Grafton Street.
And if that wasn’t enough we will enjoy a poetry reading from Trinity College’s French Department arranged by Professor Sarah Alyn-Stacey, Head of the French Department.

Enjoy light refreshments accompanied by live Irish music performed by Aoife Kelly and Charlie Le Brun. As a duo, Aoife and Charlie create a vibrant and intuitive musical partnership. Aoife Kelly is a Dublin-based concertina player from a renowned family of Irish traditional musicians, including John Kelly Sr., John Kelly, and James Kelly. Aoife is also a respected teacher and has been part of the teaching staff at the Willie Clancy Summer School for many years. Charlie Le Brun is a flute player, singer, and composer from Brittany, now based in Dublin. Their repertoire reflects both their backgrounds, with a particular emphasis on tunes from Aoife’s family, alongside music from the Irish and Breton traditions.They have performed together at festivals and venues across Ireland and France, and regularly play concerts and sessions.(In the event of rain, the reception will be held indoors)
