Women for Peace

Trinity Women Graduates welcomes members and colleagues from our sister associations to Women for Peace, as part of the IrFUW conference.
The morning will explore women’s contributions to peacebuilding in communities, NGOs, politics and international affairs, and how their work can receive the public and historical recognition it deserves.
Hosted by trailblazing journalist and broadcaster Áine Lawlor, the programme will feature an “in conversation” with Professor Monica McWilliams, peace campaigner and co-founder of the Northern Ireland Women’s Coalition.
An informed discussion will bring together:
Dr Mary McAuliffe, historian and Director of Gender Studies at University College Dublin.
Dr Aisling Hearns, CEO of the Glencree Centre for Peace and Reconciliation.
Alison Blayney, CEO of Kilcooley Women’s Centre.
The event will also feature a recorded message from Pat Patton, President of Graduate Women International (GWI).
